Art on Display

The arts help make our community strong and vibrant, and that's why we have a community room that displays work by local artists. If you enjoy art, be sure to check out the art display the next time you visit Town & Country Bank. Photography, painting, textiles - whatever the medium, we think you'll be impressed by the talent and creativity of our Kansas City featured artists.

If you're a local artist who would like to show your work, let us know. We're always on the lookout for appropriate work to display in the community room, which doubles as a meeting room. You never know who might see and love your art!

June Artist – Cynthia Hudson

Cynthia grew up with much art and dance influence.  Her father was an artist attending the Kansas City Art Institute when she was born.  Her mother owned a dance studio.  These strong influences reflect in her work today, with an emphasis on motion and color.

Known for her use of bold strokes, vibrant colors and heavy textures, Cynthia enjoys a variety of subjects, such as Jazz, Dance, Floral, and Abstracts.  She lives in Kansas City and has a variety of art in homes and businesses across the country.  Cynthia’s work can also be seen on the nationally televised show Dharma and Greg.

April - Joy Baer

Joy exhibited Frescos on plaster, stone and fresco caseins on canvas.  She is inspired by storytelling frescoes of Pompeii, Italy, where she has also taught workshops on the subject. 

May – Barbara Stoll

Using Japanese handmade and printed paper, with stylized touches of watercolor, Barbara uniquely helps you to capture special moments in time.  Beautifully and originally, these one-of-a-kind collages each have her special artistic touch.  Her works combine exquisite abstract features while creating an historic record of the event.
